Keepers of the Light Foundation
Preserving America’s Lighthouse Legacy
Once guiding sailors to safety, lighthouses now stand as monumental symbols of maritime history, cultural heritage, and human perseverance. These historical structures are portals to once what was, and what must be preserved, to honor the brave keepers that supported our nation through its darkest times.
Combining historical insight with modern preservation techniques, Keepers of the Light Foundation partners with community and federal organizations to restore lighthouses for future generations. Beyond preservation, we raise awareness, share stories, and promote lighthouses as centers of education, tourism, and cultural identity.
Keepers of the Light dedicates ourselves to preserving these beacons of light so they shine for posterity and the backbone of the American spirit.

Primary Project
At the entrance of the Connecticut River, Lynde Point was commissioned by the United States Government after a land purchase in 1802. Now, the lighthouse is being transferred in accordance with the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000, a lengthy process transfers ownership of the light.
Keepers of the Light Foundation has submitted our application and remains a candidate for restoring Lynde Point.
